Hyderabad: Eight-member robbery gang nabbed in Bachupally
According to the police, the suspects would do recce of residential colonies and targeted people walking alone and robbed their jewellery, cash and mobile phones
Hyderabad: The Bachupally police on Saturday arrested an eight-member robbery gang on charges of targeting people in secluded areas and robbing them.
The arrested persons were K.Vinay (22), a food delivery executive from Yousufguda, S.Mahesh Kumar (19) a painter from Banjara Hills, K.Manideep, a wine shop worker from Jeedimetla, Veeresh, Rakesh, Vijay, Dilip and Kiran.
According to the police, the suspects would do recce of residential colonies and targeted people walking alone and robbed their jewellery, cash and mobile phones.
“The gang threatened targets and created a sense of fear and panic in them. They end up handing over their valuables to these suspects. They are involved in 10 cases so far,” police said.
Recently, they robbed a youngster from Bowrampet at Gandimaisamma area in Bachupally. Following a complaint, a case was booked and with the help of technical evidence, they were caught one after the other.
