Sarpanch injured in honey bee attack in Jagtial
While the sarpanch was supervising road leveling works as part of Palle Pragathi programme, a swarm of bees suddenly attacked her and others engaged in the work.
Jagtial: Thatiparthi Shobha Rani, sarpanch of Bathikepalli of Pegadapalli mandal, was injured in an attack by a swarm of honey bees in the village on Monday.
While the sarpanch was supervising road leveling works as part of Palle Pragathi programme, a swarm of bees suddenly attacked her and others engaged in the work.
Though she tried to run to her car for protection, the bees chased and stung her on her head, face and hands. Alert locals shifted her to a private hospital in Jagitial where she is undergoing treatment.
On coming to know about the incident, MLC T Jeevan Reddy visited the hospital and inquired about Shobha Rani condition.
