Jayashankar Bhupalpally: Assembly Speaker S Madhusdhana Chary said that he was striving a lot for the development of his constituency and added that he would construct his own house only after getting 1,000 houses (2BHK) constructed in the constituency.
He was speaking after laying the foundation for the construction of 60 2BHK houses at Ponagandla village in Regonda mandal in the district on Wednesday. The cost of each house is worth Rs 5.40 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, Madhusudhana Chary has promised to see that a BT road would be laid from Ponagandla to Gopalapuram village.
“While only one post office is sanctioned to the State every year, I could get the post office for Ponagandla,” he said and alleged that this part of the district was lagging behind in development to due to the negligence of the previous governments.
Earlier, participating in the Lakshminarasimha Swamy temple development committee meeting at Kodavatancha village, the Speaker said that the SCCL was going to call for tenders for taking up development works worth Rs 3 crore under the corporate social responsibility (CSR) at Kodavatancha-Napaka temples.
He also said that a mini-guest house would be constructed with 10 rooms by the next jatara. “I have a wish that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao should visit the temple. I hope that my wish would be fulfilled soon,” he added.
