Visakhapatnam: AP Innovation Society, in association with DIPP (Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion) of Government of India, will conduct a two-day workshop on “Start-up Ecosystem Knowledge sharing” focusing on Building inclusive and Vibrant Start-up ecosystems on Monday and Tuesday at the Taj Gateway Hotel here.
The objective behind this workshop is to share the knowledge about best practices of the start-up policy, followed by State government of Andhra Pradesh with other states and vice-versa.
This workshop was conceptualized during the visit of Ramesh Abhishek, Secretary for DIPP to Sunrise Incubation hub, Vizag during Partnership Summit 2018. He had praised the initiatives taken up by Government of Andhra Pradesh and requested the State government’s nodal agency AP Innovation Society to mentor two states (West Bengal and Chattisgarh) on creating successful as well as self-sustaining start-up ecosystem.
The workshop will be attended by delegation from DIPP, and delegates from Start-up & Innovation councils/societies of around 12 states, AP State Government officials, Start-ups, Technology Business Incubators, Technology Business Accelerators, Industrial bodies such as NASSCOM, FICCI etc.
The workshop will focus on the Start-ups, key growth drivers, Extrinsic and Intrinsic hindrances, Start-up Policy and its implementation. It acts as a platform for all the stakeholders of start-up ecosystem to put forward their opinions, queries, apprehensions, and obstacles in realizing their goals.
