200 saplings planted in Hyderabad as part of ‘Sankalp Parva’

Hyderabad: A tree plantation drive under the auspices of Ministry of Culture and the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT) was held at CCRT premises in Madhapur here.

Participating in the drive, University of Hyderabad Vice-Chancellor P Appa Rao underscored the role of plants in environment and in maintaining ecological balance. Mamidi Harikrishna of Language and Cultural Department, actor Sai Kumar, director Avasarala Srinivas, along with CCRT scholarship students and officers participated in the event, according to a press release.

Nearly 200 saplings were planted as part of ‘Sankalp Parva’ programme under the guidance of CCRT director Rishi Kumar Vashist.
