27 industries exempted from lockdown in Telangana

Hyderabad: The Principal Secretary for Industry and Commerce exempted 27 different industries from the purview of the statewide lockdown.

According to an order issued on Monday, all types of rice, oil and dal mills, dairy, RO and distilled water plants, roller flour mills, vermicelli, biscuits, fruit juice and pulp, bulk drugs, IV sets and other medical equipment, oxygen supply, surgical equipment and gauge are exempted from the lockdown aimed at containing the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Pharmaceuticals, liquid soaps, detergents, phenyl, floor cleaners, sanitisers, masks, body suits, paper napkins, diapers, sanitary napkins, oxygen and domestic gas cylinders, cold storages, agro-based industries, bakery and confectionary, ice plants, fish, poultry and cattle feed, all types of power generation units — including solar power– sugar, Ayurvedic and homeopathic medicine, bleaching powder, packaging, effluent treatment plants and seed processing units are also exempted from the shutdown, according to the order.
