3,000 migrants leave from Khazipet

Warangal Urban: Over 3,000 migrant labourers of Odisha have left for their home State in three special trains being operated from Kazipet railway station here on Saturday.

Warangal Urban District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu has flagged off the trains in the presence of Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation Commissioner Pamela Satapathy, Police Commissioner V Ravinder and other officials. These labourers have arrived at Kazipet railway station from erstwhile Warangal, Karimnagar and Medak districts. They were allowed to board the train only after going through the thermal screening at the station.

Meanwhile, Sulakshya Seva Samithi members have distributed refreshments to the migrant labourers who are being ferried to their native destinations.
