4.5 lakh posters removed so far in Telangana: CEO

Rajat Kumar also said that the Returning Officers will take action immediately on receiving complaints regarding violations of Model Code of Conduct through cVIGIL APP

Hyderabad: Telangana State Chief Electoral Officer Rajat Kumar on Thursday said around 4.5 lakh posters have been removed till now after the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) came into effect. Speaking to the media, Rajat Kumar said the Returning Officers will take action immediately on receiving complaints regarding violations of Model Code of Conduct through cVIGIL APP. “We will take stern action against those who violate the MCC,” he said. “All political leaders’ photos have been removed from government offices and we have formed flying squads to keep a tab on MCC violations,” the CEO said.
