Warangal Urban: University of Massachusetts Lowell (USA), and SR Innovation Exchange conducted a four-day Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation Faculty Development Workshop at SRiX, Warangal from Jan 16 to 19.
“This is the second initiative we have facilitated as part of our Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program (REAP) which intends to Prepare Engineering and Management faculty of our region for the 21st century Entrepreneurship Challenges by incorporating the experiential entrepreneurship pedagogy in curricula,” said Sreedevi Devireddy, CEO of SRiX. Also to provide them with tools and frameworks to teach Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the undergraduate programs, this will enable a rapid scaling of the entrepreneurship education in India, she added.
“Our aim is to transform entrepreneurship curriculum to build core entrepreneurial skills including opportunity assessment, networking, team development, financial management, fund raising, technology integration, leadership, sales and marketing,” said Ashwin Mehta. Faculty members from 17 institutions participated in the workshop.
This unique experiential FDP was facilitated by Michael Philip Ciuchta, Entrepreneurship Professor at UMASS Lowell university, Ashwin Mehta, Entrepreneurship Professor, UMASS Lowell university, Nitin Kulkarni, Director, KLE-Center for Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship, (CTIE)- KLE Tech. University.
