Crowds throng Muzaffarnagar to worship ‘human-like’ dead calf

A dead calf with supposedly human-like features is drawing massive crowds to Muzzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh, as several locals find it to be an avatar of the Hindu God Vishnu.

A dead calf with supposedly human-like features is drawing massive crowds to Muzzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh, as several locals find it to be an avatar of the Hindu God Vishnu. The video, posted on Youtube by Berlin-based news agency Ruptly, shows the body of a dead calf in a glass case, as hordes of visitors are seen thronging what looks like a small shop. Some are seen carrying money while a man, possibly the owner of the dead calf, is seen asking people to move quickly to make way for others. Reports say the calf was born with a deformity and died within an hour of its birth in a Muzaffarnagar village called Pachenda. Some media outlets reported that the calf was born on June 2, and has been put on display since it died the same day. Watch the video here:
