65-year-old man held for clicking women’s photos at Hyderabad Metro station

The suspect was caught by a special team deployed on the station premises to carry out a decoy operation.

Hyderabad: Rachakonda SHE Teams police on Thursday arrested a 65-year-old person on charges of surreptitiously taking pictures of women at Uppal Metro Station.

According to the police, the arrested suspect has been identified as N Narsimha, a retired government employee from Abdullapurmet.

Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat said Narsimha was caught by a special team deployed on the station premises to carry out a decoy operation.

“Narsimha was found taking pictures of women without their knowledge,” he said, adding that the mobile phone used by the suspect was also seized.

A case was booked under the relevant sections of Indian Penal Code and the suspect was handed over to the Uppal police for further investigation.
