Hyderabad: Seven newly elected MLCs took the oath of office at the Telangana State Legislative Council on the Assembly premises on Monday.
TRS working president KT Rama Rao along with Ministers Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Ch Malla Reddy, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, A Indrakaran Reddy and G Jagadish Reddy, among MLAs and other leaders, attended the event and congratulated the newly elected MLCs.
Deputy Chairman Nethi Vidyasagar administered the oath to Home Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali, Satyavathi Rathod, Yegge Mallesham and Seri Subhash Reddy from TRS along with Mirza Riyaz ul Hassan Effendi from AIMIM who were elected under the MLAs quota.
A Narsireddy and Raghottham Reddy, who were elected as MLCs from the Teachers constituencies, also took the oath of office. But, Congress leader T Jeevan Reddy, who was elected from Graduates constituency, did not attend the ceremony due to personal reasons and is likely to take the oath later.
