72 pc Covid patients have recovered in Telangana: KTR

Rajanna-Sircilla: Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao informed that 72 per cent of Covid positive patients had recovered. Doctors and staff at government hospitals were doing a great service in these tough times by putting their lives at risk.

Speaking after hoisting the national flag at the Collectorate here on Saturday, he said the 108 ambulance service staffers were also offering good service to the patients. So, people should recognise and appreciate their services, the Minister said. He launched the distribution of home isolation kits to corona positive patients at district headquarters hospital on Saturday. The Lion’s Club has decided to distribute 200 home isolation kits, face shields and sanitisers besides body frozen boxes to 40 villages.

Rama Rao appreciated district hospital doctors and staff for successfully treating an 80-year-old diabetic woman suffering from coronavirus. It was a classic example of how patients were being treated in government hospitals, he said and informed that all kinds of facilities were provided in hospitals for corona patients.

The Minister also appreciated Lion’s Club for coming forward to extend support to corona patients by distributing Rs 50 lakh worth home isolation kits, face shields, sanitisers and others across the State.

Later, Rama Rao launched six tractors, two water tankers at Sircilla Municipality besides smart toilets.
