Hyderabad: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi is all set to sweep the December 7 Assembly polls with 75 per cent voters backing the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, according to the findings of Political Stock Exchange (PSE) released by India Today on Thursday.
The survey said the TRS will return to power riding on a strong pro-incumbency wave.
The Chief Minister is said to be leading among all segments of population. Besides, the social-welfare schemes are serving as a bonus for Chandrashekhar Rao. The early dissolution of the State Assembly to advance elections has emerged as a masterstroke by the Chief Minister, the PSE said.
On the Prajakutami, the PSE said the recent Congress-TDP alliance, however, doesn’t seem to be delivering results. Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM appears to be marring the Congress fortunes in the Telangana capital.
The Telangana PSE survey was conducted across 17 parliamentary constituencies via telephonic interviews, with a sample size of 6,877.
The PSE predicted a close contest in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and a debacle for BJP in Rajasthan in the upcoming Assembly elections
In Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Raman Singh stands a 55 per cent probability to win a majority again, but his Rajasthan counterpart Vasundhara Raje confronts a sticky wicket in her bid for another term, with only 35 per cent of stakes showing up in her favour, the survey revealed.
