8 shops burgled in Nizamabad; cash, gold stolen

Thieves robbed the shops by breaking the locks of the shutter at Armoor Town of Nizamabad district on Thursday.

Nizamabad: Eight shops located bang in front of the Armoor ACP’s office in Nizamabad district were burgled on Wednesday night. The accused decamped with Rs 4 lakh cash and 80 tolas of gold.

These shops are situated bang in front of, but this did not deter the accused from breaking into them.

A gang looted burgled five jewellery stores, two furniture shops and one mobile shop. They lifted the shutters with a jemmy and other equipment.

Armoor Assistant Commissioner of Police K Shiva Kumar along with other officers visited the spot and collected the clues with the help of clues team. The police registered a case and are inquiring into the theft.

The shop owners alleged that lack of police patrolling facilitated the increase in such incidents over the last few months in Armoor town. They appealed to the police to tighten the security and patrol he town at night.
