94.67% candidates qualify EdCET in Telangana

38,693 candidates registered and 32,330 appeared of which 30,606 qualified in the examination

Hyderabad: About 94.67 per cent candidates of the 32,330 who appeared in the Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test (TS-EdCET) 2018 have qualified.

The results were announced by Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) Chairman T Papi Reddy at TSCHE here on Wednesday.

As many as 38,693 candidates registered and 32,330 appeared of which 30,606 qualified in the entrance examination for admissions into BEd courses.

Of the total appeared candidates, 6,562 were boys and 25,768 girls and qualifying percentage for boys was 97.07 and for girls it was 94.05 per cent.

In the methodology wise result, Naziya Naaz of Hyderabad secured first rank in Biological Sciences and in English, T Vinay Kumar of Jangaon got first place.

Similarly in Mathematics and Physical Sciences methodologies, Sucharita B of Hyderabad and Amathul Wasey Afeefa of Nalgonda district bagged first rank respectively.
