Hyderabad: Dr T Raghunath, District Coordinator of Aarogyasri Health Care Trust in Rangareddy district, was trapped by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in the district registrar office here on Tuesday when he allegedly accepted a bribe of Rs 25,000 from a complainant Dr Meela Sridhar.
Raghunath demanded the bribe for renewal of service contract agreement of a dental clinic belonging to Meela Sridhar on behalf of the trust, the ACB said.
The bribe amount was recovered from Raghunath’s laptop bag and his both hands fingers and inner linings of his laptop bag yielded positive results in the chemical test. Raghunath is also in-charge district coordinator of Siddipet district. The ACB officials arrested Raghunath and produced him before the special court for ACB cases after which he was remanded to judicial custody.
