ACB raids houses of a suspended MPDO

According to the sources, the ACB teams have raided his house at Ramarao Nagar on Hunter road in Hanamkonda, at his native place Aripirala in Thorrur mandal and his friends' houses in Thorrur, Khammam and at Bandlaguda in Ranga Reddy district.

Warangal Urban: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) teams conducted simultaneous raids on the houses of a suspended MPDO, Mittakola Chandramouli, and suspected benamis of him in Warangal Urban, Mahabubabad, Khammam and Ranaga Reddy districts on Wednesday.

According to the sources, the ACB teams have raided his house at Ramarao Nagar on Hunter road in Hanamkonda, at his native place Aripirala in Thorrur mandal and his friends’ houses in Thorrur, Khammam and at Bandlaguda in Ranga Reddy district.

Speaking to the mediamen, ACB DSP, Warangal, R Saibaba said that the ACB had seized documents related to eight plots and three houses. Though the officials maintained that the worth of the documents related to the plots and houses seized by them is around Rs 2 crore, the actual market value of these properties is believed to be worth between Rs 8 to 10 crore.

Official sources said that the Chandramouli owns plots under HMDA limits as well as GWMC limits. The ACB officials also said that they had seized Rs 5 lakh worth jewellery and documents of eight banks from his house in Ramarao Nagar in Hanamkonda.

Sources said that Chandramouli had been suspended for three times so far. The last suspension was executed while he was working as the Khanapur MPDO. He was allegedly involved in the misuse of the old page pensions earlier. The ACB officials have conducted the raids based the information about the accumulation of assets disproportionate to his known source of income by Chandramouli.

ACB DSP Saibab said that they would produce Chandramouli before the ACB court in Hyderabad on Thursday.
