Hyderabad: The welfare wing of the Telangana police has continued to win recognition for adopting innovative technology solutions aimed at improving service delivery to the families of police personnel.
The welfare wing of the State police has now bagged the Prestigious Technology Sabha Award-2018 in a technology conference held in Visakhapatnam on August 10. On behalf of Telangana Police, Inspector General of Police, Welfare, Dr. Soumya Mishra, received the award.
The award recognizes the welfare wing’s efforts in extending various welfare services like healthcare and loans through common web application for police personnel and their families in the State.
The Technology Sabha award for State Police has come in the Enterprise Applications category in recognition of the welfare wing’s efforts in digitizing the entire personnel files of around 30,000 profiles.
The digitization project included data migration of all the subscriptions, loan details and adaptation of new technology by all the age groups. The department had roped in iNative Tech Solutions Pvt Ltd to partner with the welfare wing for the automation process.
DGP M. Mahender Reddy congratulated the welfare wing of TS Police for receiving the award and encouraged the team to strive for excellence.
