While people these days generally turn towards private nursing homes for maternity services, people of Armoor are approaching government hospital for the deliveries and maternity services. In January alone, Armoor Government Hospital performed 200 deliveries, most of them being normal deliveries. To celebrate the occasion, district Collector Yogita Rana visited the hospital and cut cake.
Maternity services these days are very costly and private nursing homes charge nearly Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000 for deliveries. Lack of good facilities in government hospitals often forces people to approach private nursing homes.
Armoor government hospital staff, however, provides better maternity services, creating hope among pregnant women, patients and their relatives. With the help of Anganwadi workers and Marpu schemes, staff are able to provide quality services.
In the month of January alone, the doctors performed 200 deliveries in the hospital and it is the highest than any other local government hospital in Nizamabad district.
District Collector Yogita Rana visited the hospital and appreciated doctors and staff for achieving the mile stone. She also cut a cake and served it to the staff and patients. “State government is providing all the facilities in government hospitals. People should utilise it, instead of approaching private nursing homes,” she said. Trainee IAS officer Rahul Raj, DMHO Dr Venkat and hospital staff were present.
