Hyderabad: Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Anil Kumar on Friday held a meeting with traffic police Inspectors and Sub-Inspectors and asked them to identify traffic-related issues of citizens and prepare an action plan to solve them.

He reviewed the “My Auto is Safe” project taken up by the traffic police across the city. Anil Kumar asked the police to concentrate more on violations which endanger the lives of commuters and asked them to initiate measures to curb noise pollution in the city. This apart, he also instructed them to ensure zero tolerance towards minor driving, entry of heavy vehicles before a stipulated time, cell phone driving and triple riding.

The ACP directed the officials to take all precautionary measures for a further decrease in road accidents in the city and study black spots besides preparing the area-wise maps to deal with traffic hotspots.

Meanwhile, the traffic police organised a counselling programme for teenagers who were caught for minor driving. At the event, the police showed videos to create awareness about the ill-effects of driving by under-aged persons.
