Hyderabad: Actor Vijay Devarakonda on Friday donated Rs 25 lakh to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF). He met IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao at his camp office and donated the amount through cheque.
Devarakonda has mobilised the money by putting his Filmfare Award to auction. The Minister wanted the actor to ensure his participation in State government-sponsored Haritha Haram and Jalam Jeevam programme to inspire others.
The Minister also gifted a sapling to the actor and his parents at his Begumpet camp office. Devarakonda apprised the Minister of the mobile app ‘Rowdy Club’ launched by him. The Minister requested him to work along with the cloth manufacturers at Gundla Pochampally apparel park and encourage them.
The actor assured the Minister he would soon have a meeting with the cloth manufacturers in this regard.
