Adilabad shivers at 5.5 degrees Celsius

According to authorities, erstwhile Adilabad district recorded a maximum temperature of 29.6 degrees Celsius on Tuesday as compared to Monday’s 30.5 degrees.

Adilabad: The minimum temperatures in Adilabad drastically dropped to 5.5 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, two notches lower than Monday. It was cold on Sunday too with the minimum at 5.9 degrees Celsius.

According to authorities, erstwhile Adilabad district recorded a maximum temperature of 29.6 degrees Celsius on Tuesday as compared to Monday’s 30.5 degrees.

People found it difficult to cope with the chilly weather with most of them staying indoors till 11 am. They kept themselves warm by burning a bonfire and wearing woolen clothes.

Tribal people in villages and hamlets under the limits of the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) Utnoor found it hard to cope with the chill.

Meanwhile, dense fog disrupted traffic as motorists were forced to halt to avoid accidents.
