Age is no bar when it comes to your dreams, proves this lady. A resident of Alappuzha, Kerala, Karthyayani passed her exam under ‘Literacy Mission’, a project to bridge the literacy gap, as part of Aksharalaksham, Government of Kerala.

Karthyayani was the oldest to take the exam, yet that did not make her think twice and tremble even a bit. She enrolled herself with the mission in January this year. However, even after becoming an inspiration for many in the country, she was disappointed with her performance as the question paper did not ask everything. She feels she studied too much for no reason.

By setting an example, she has motivated a lot of people including the business tycoon, Anand Mahindra, who took it to the micro-blogging site expressing his reaction, “Now if this is true she is my role model. My brains will stay alive if I stay as hungry to learn as she is.”
