As part of the challenge, both the parties are also joining hands with Stanley Black & Decker to launch the programme titled Agro Innovation on The Periphery with Stanley Black & Decker.

The goal of this programme is to deploy an affordable Solar Agricultural Platform that brings together innovative technologies enabling marginal farmers to make intelligent decisions for higher crop yield, higher income, and ultimately improved livelihood. It provides the product-ready startups, a platform to showcase their technology or business model leveraging clean technology.

Applications are open for startups working in the field of agriculture and related fields like smart agro, smart pumps, solar-based equipment and many more. The areas of challenge are Digital Farming, IoT and data driven farming and supply chain integration. Out of the applications received, T-Hub will select two startups that will get to work with SBD in the areas of interest.

“In another four to six weeks we should be able to finalise the top two startups for this challenge,” Rama Iyer, senior V-P, T-Hub told Telangana Today.

Other than working with SBD, the startups will also get a cash prize and will get to work closely with T-Hub’s network of mentors, industry experts, investors, service providers and community/ecosystem.
