Ajay Bhupathi, a student of Ram Gopal Varma is making his directorial debut with RX 100 which is releasing this Friday. Starring Karthikeya and Payal, the film is an intense love story.

This young director from Athreyapuram, West Godavari says that he always wanted to be a director even though he wasn’t aware what the work involved.

“Recently, when I visited my hometown, my friends showed me the slam books of our college days. In all those books, I had written that my aim was to be a director and to work with RGV. The dream came true. I worked with RGV and became a director,” said Ajay.

Ajay has worked for RGV in films like Attack, Killing Veerappan, Vangaveeti and other films.
When asked why he chose the name of a bike as the title of the film, Ajay said that the character of the hero is very intense and raw. “Karthikeya will play a ‘mass’ role in this film. RX 100 is a bike which is used by people who belong to that ‘mass’ category. I have observed this in my village too. So, I thought that it would suit the movie,” he said. Previously, the story was narrated to Vijay Deverakonda before he signed Pellichoopulu. While the actor had planned to take up the role, things didn’t go as planned.

Now that his film is ready for release, Ajay said that he has no plans of going back to his village.
