Visakhapatnam: The third all India Adivasi conference will be conducted in Visakhapatnam during the second week of June this year. Announcing this at a media conference here on Sunday, Adivasi Adhikar Rashtriya Manch leader and Tripura MP Jitendra Choudary said that as many as 400 delegates from 16 States would participate in the conference which would discuss ‘Constitutional Rights -Tribals’.

“The conference will create awareness on the rights of adivasis and dalits and the laws of the land. It is a pity that the atrocities are increasing on dalits and adivasis and their lands grabbed by upper castes. It is also shameful that the government claims that it is allocating funds under sub-plan to dalits and adivasis though they were etting it under a constitutional right,” he stated.

He also alleged that the BJP government was lettingloose chauvinists and it was not proper to attack people in the name of cow protection. Former MP Midiam Baburao also was present.
