Amazon opens world’s largest campus building in Hyderabad

Built over 1.8 million square feet in office space, built on 3 million square feet of construction area, this is Amazon's single largest building in the world in terms of total area.

Hyderabad: Continuing its commitment to Telangana, Amazon opened its largest office building outside of the US. This is is the only Amazon – owned campus outside of the US and will house 15,000 employees of it’s over 62,000 employee base in India.

Built over 1.8 million square feet in office space, built on 3 million square feet of construction area, this is Amazon’s single largest building in the world in terms of total area.

The construction of the building was completed in a record time of 3 years and 3 months.
Speaking about the facility, Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao said, “Telangana is happy to host Amazon largest building campus in the world. It has played a significant role in creating job opportunities in Hyderabad for more than a decade.It being built in a record time of just over 3 years shows the ease of doing business with the government of Telangana. It also showcases our investment friendly policies and commitment to create a hub for high quality talent pool.”

Amazon started operations in India in 2004 from Hyderabad. The state is now home to a third of Amazon’s total India employee base across six offices, including the new campus building.
