Hyderabad: As many as 500 children from 15 different shelter homes took part in an education seminar and interactive session organised by the American Telangana Association at Indira Priyadarshini Auditorium in Public Gardens here.
Cultural programmes performed by the children left everyone spellbound. Speaking on the occasion, Department of Women and Child Welfare Principal Secretary M Jagadeeshwar, who was the chief guest, assured necessary help from the State government and added the government was providing lodging, boarding and other necessary facilities to children at the shelter homes.
He advised the association to arrange personality development courses to help children improve their abilities. Association cultural advisor Padmaja Reddy said necessary steps would be taken to provide training to the children in Kuchipudi and other dance forms.
Chairman Karunakar Madhavaram, president Satyanarayana Reddy Kandimalla, president elect Vinod Kukunur and others attended.
