Hyderabad: An orientation programme for the first year students of BSc (Hons) Agriculture was organised by Malla Reddy University Hyderabad (MRUH) here on Thursday.

Inaugurating orientation programme, Malla Reddy Group of Institutions, Chairman, Malla Reddy laid emphasis on the importance of agricultural sciences in Telangana and also across India. He shared his insights on the courses being available in the university and addressed the students to be enthusiastic and to give utmost commitment throughout the course.

He spoke about ample of opportunities in Agricultural Sciences; M Sc and PhD courses being offered at the university and said MoUs have been signed with national and international research laboratories.

Mahender Reddy, Secretary, and Shalini Reddy, Executive Member of Malla Reddy University, were present. Dean of Agricultural Sciences, Dr A Raja Reddy spoke about the recent developments and skillful courses in the field of Agricultural Sciences.

Vice Chancellor Prof VSK Reddy asked the students to opt Agricultural Sciences for the overall development of Indian Economy. Dr N Sreerama Reddy, Director (Technical) and S Chandra Mohan, Managing Director from Sahasra Crop Science Pvt. Ltd participated in the event. Over 1,000 students and parents took part in the orientation programme.
