Andhra Pradesh Assembly to commence from Monday

Amaravati: For the first time after bifurcation of the State, the budget session of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly will be held in the capital city of Amaravati, from Monday onwards.

The Legislative Assembly and Council blocks are ready to accommodate the MLAs and MLCs for the debates on this Budget Sessions from March 6 to 28 and the budget would be placed on March 13.

Governor ESL Narasimhan would address both the Lower and Upper Houses on Monday at the newly constructed Legislative Assembly House.

On the other hand, the Opposition YSR Congress Party has been focusing on the issues like farmers loans, prevailing unemployment in the State, failure of housing, construction of Capital City, road accidents, particularly Diwakar Travels incident, TDP MLA Amanchi Krishna Mohan’s brother Swamulu manhandling of a journalist in front of Police Station, issues related to land acquisition, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s Davos trip, Special Category Status, preventing Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy from participating in SCS protest on Republic Day at Vizag, arresting party MLA Roja while she was on her way to attend National Women’s Parliament and many others.

At the same time, the YSR Congress Legislative Party leaders already expressed their displeasure over the allocation of chambers to them at the newly constructed Assembly building.

Meanwhile, the ruling TDP and cabinet ministers are focusing to highlight the growth in construction of Polavaram project, Krishna Pushkaralu, NWP, huge quantity of loan waiver to farmers, construction of Interim Government Complex at Velagapudi along with Assembly building, progress of the laying of the Seed Access Roads at the proposed Amaravati city, welfare activities and others.

It is worth to mention here that, the Chief Minister indicated in an interaction that, this year budget would be women centric and for empowerment and development of women folk in the State, with the spirit of the NWP.
