AP IAS officers hold emergency meet following CM’s threat

Chandrababu Naidu to department officials drew the ire of IAS officers in the State who are chalking out an action plan to counter it.

The IAS officers held an emergency meeting at a city hotel here on Sunday night with the Chief Secretary LV Subrahmanyam also attending it. The meeting took serious exception to the remarks made by the Chief Minister on the officials who did not attend review meetings held by Ministers in the wake of the prevailing model code of conduct due to elections. They also discussed the threat by the CM that he would take action if they abstained from Cabinet meeting.

The IAS officers decided to meet again and their action plan would be in place in case the Chief Minister called for a Cabinet meeting, it is learnt.
