Hyderabad: Aricent and Nasscom Foundation jointly announced the culmination of the 1st edition of Arise by Aricent programme in Hyderabad with 900 students trained and certified from tier 2 and tier 3 colleges in and around Hyderabad.

The programme which was delivered through MindMap LLP and governed by Nasscom Foundation, equips students with basics like SDLC methodologies, programming languages like JAVA, database management languages like SQL, API creation through Jdbc, project designing and software testing.

In addition it also trained them on oral and written communication, business etiquettes, problem solving, time management, customer orientation, interview skills and other soft skills.

Out of the 1,400 students trained, 915 cleared the 250 hours long training and examinations.

The initiative plans to train 3,000 more students on employability skills across India with about 1,000 coming from tier 2 and 3 colleges in Hyderabad.
