Army Public School Bolarum students raise donations to help needy

Hyderabad: As part of its tradition of celebrating ‘Daan Utsav’, Army Public School Bolarum students raised donations to help the needy. The students visited Telangana Minorities Girls High school, Yapral to gift them with school supplies and other essentials, according to a press release.

Leela Mukesh, the academic co-ordinator and Raveena Banerjee accompanied the students.


The 22nd Annual General Body meeting of the Defence Accounts Pensioners’ Welfare Association (DAPWA) was held here on Saturday with AV Rao, IDAS, Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (R&D), Hyderabad as the chief guest.

According to a press release, the President of DAPWA VSL Narasimham, IDAS, Additional Controller General (Retd) along with office bearers attended the meeting. The chief guest felicitated 36 senior pensioners who have completed 75 years with mementos and shawls. DAPWA was formed in 1997 and now the strength is 660 which includes family pensioners and the association aims to help pensioners resolve issues relating to pension.
