A week packed with a series of activities that are sure to keep the art and culture lovers engrossed are lined up by Alliance Francaise of Hyderabad. From November 15 to 22, the activities scheduled include an art exhibition, Kathak followed by an art meet.

A solo art exhibition by Usha Nagasri Annamraju starts off with the self-taught artist showcasing some of her best works. An engineering graduate, Usha says she lives in a wonderful land of art which is magical, which is mysterious but miraculous. “There are so many visions, ideas and concepts and I can happily move myself from past to future through my presentations on canvas,” she says.

“For the person I am today… made up by the situations, understandings, inspirations and motivations that happened around me, the learnings that I got from the people around me, I feel it is my duty to give it back to the people through my art,” Usha says.

On November 17, Alliance Francaise of Hyderabad will play host to a Kathak dance performance by students of Kala Kuteer which was founded by Guru Rupa Bhattacharya and is a society of performing and fine arts.

An ‘Art Meet’ featuring art talk, live sketching and art exhibition-cum-competition will be on November 20. Art meet was started at Ramam Art Ghar at Mahendra Hills and is a monthly event where a group of visual artists meet regularly at different venues.
