Hyderabad: Aston Martin has rolled out its luxury sports car David Brown (DB) 11 at Rs 4.85 crore (ex-showroom Hyderabad). The DB11 is all new, and has 5.2-litre, twin-turbocharged V-12 that delivers a 600 horsepower. That’s about 90 more than the outgoing model, but with a higher torque. The new model has already witnessed six pre-bookings so far across India.

Saying that the first deliveries of the car will begin this quarter, Lalit Choudary, Managing Director, Infinity Cars, a dealer with outlets in Delhi and Mumbai selling several luxury car brands including Aston Martin, informed that his company expects to sell 10 Aston Martin cars in calendar year 2016 and 15 next year. Infinity has been selling the British made cars for last six years.

Aston Martin sells Vantage in the price range of Rs 2.4-2.7 crore, Raipde at Rs 3.4 crore while Vanquish at Rs 5.50 crore. He said due to the tax structure, Indian buyers need to spend three times than those elsewhere.

He said, “Luxury sports car segment is seeing some turnaround in the last 12-15 months as the currency has stabilisied and no major tax related fluctuations had not happened in the recent past.”

When asked if Aston Martin will bring diesel versions, he said, the company may look at electric variants in the next one year, but diesel looks distant option.
