Warangal Urban: Damera police registered a case against an autodriver for spitting on the road on Friday. According to Damera Sub-Inspector U Bhaskar Reddy, one Koppula Mogili (39), a resident of West Fort, Fort Warangal, in Warangal Urban district had spitted on the road when the police stopped him at a check post at Oorugonda village.

When the police stopped the autorickshaw at the check post, he came out of the vehicle and spitted on the road. Since the State government banned spitting in public places in view of spreading of infectious disease Covid -19, the police under section 188 (Disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) and 269 (Whoever unlawfully or negligently does any act which is, and which he knows or has reason to believe to be, likely to spread the infection of any disease dangerous to life) of the IPC.
