Mancherial: Chennur MLA Balka Suman thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for granting a revenue division for Chennur.
Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, Suman said people of Chennur, Kotapalli, Jaipur, Bheemaram and Vemanapalli mandals would get a lot of relief once the Chennur revenue division was formed. Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister for the assurance on the new revenue division, Suman also thanked him for announcing conversion of Mancherial municipality into a corporation by merging the surrounding urban civic bodies and for granting a medical college for Ramagundam.
The MLA said the Chief Minister fulfilled the much-awaited dream of five mandals, besides bringing cheer to residents of Mancherial town and coal miners. He added that Mancherial would be able to see remarkable growth with the help of major chunk of funds to be sanctioned to a corporation. Establishing a medical college in Ramagundam was a boon to the miners, he said.
It may be recalled that people of Chennur and nearby mandals launched a movement demanding creation of separate revenue division considering hurdles in reaching Mancherial. Accordingly Suman had represented to Chief Secretary SK Joshi and submitted a memorandum, explaining merits of creating the revenue division and mandals in December last.
