Hyderabad: Senior advocate Banda Shivananda Prasad has been appointed as the new Advocate General of Telangana State. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao cleared the name on Friday.
Shivananda Prasad, a well-known senior advocate practicing in the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad, has been asked to take over immediately. He hails from Jangaon.
Further, the State government also issued orders accepting the resignation of former Advocate General Desai Prakash Reddy to the post. He tendered his resignation in March this year and ever since the post had remained vacant.
