Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar launched ‘Feminine Hygiene Awareness’ global tour from Hyderabad at Novotel HICC. The beauty pageant winner, along with other Miss World Continental winners, interacted with young girls from different colleges of the city.

Even Miss World 2016 Stephanie Del Valle was also present there and played the role of a host for the evening.

To support Manushi’s initiative of breaking the bloody taboo around menstruation, Miss World Africa Magline Jeruto, Miss World Asia Ha Eun Kim, Miss World Oceania Annie Dian Evans, Miss World Europe Stephanie Jayne Hill, Miss World Caribbean Solange Johnson Sinclair and Miss World America Alma Andrea Meza Carmona joined the interactive session.

The bevy of beauties present there interacted with a host of students in a Q&A session and patiently answered their questions about menstrual hygiene. During the three-hour-long session, a video showcasing Manushi’s attempts at spreading awareness on the issue through the project ‘Shakti’ was screened.

Not only the continental queens, but Miss World chairman and CEO Julia Morley also joined the event and spoke about the initiative ‘Beauty With a Purpose’.
