Every girl is beautiful in her own unique way, but very few have the spark which can turn them into a star. The story of city girl Arnitha Damparala set to represent India in the beauty pageant Miss Polo International 2019 to be held in Dubai.
“I still can’t believe that I am the only one from the country to take part in this pageant. It all happened very spontaneously. A year ago, I had travelled to Bengaluru with my friends to accompany them for a beauty pageant. On a whim, I also audition and surprisingly I got selected. I had never gone there to take part in a pageant,” says Arnitha. Since she was a newbie in the beauty industry, she took some time to get used to how things worked and learnt everything on her own.
“Most of the girls who take part in such contests get trained, but in my case, it’s different. I wanted to experience everything. So I observed everything about makeup, grooming and figured it out,” says Arnitha who is a marketing manager by profession.
She is of the opinion that her business degree and extra curricular activities have instilled tons of confidence in her which will give her an edge over the other contestants. For now, she is currently watching her diet and fitness regimen. “I’m a big foodie and I eat a lot, if I have too many cravings. But, I make sure to even it out by working out a a bit harder. This way, I get to have my cheat meals.”
Miss Polo International 2019 also happens to be non-bikini pageant uniting the world of beauty and sports.Arnitha finds a great connect with Polo. “Horse riding has always been one of my favourite sports which is going to help me showcase my skill at the pageant with its focus on education and sports,” adds Arnitha who is also working on a Digital India project for which she visited a few schools. For now, she is excited about the pageant which begins on September 9 in Dubai.
