Bhadrachalam (Kothagudem): Government Area Hospital at Bhadrachalam would be developed as a model institution for all hospitals in tribal areas, said the Minister for Health Medical and Family Welfare Etela Rajender on Wednesday.

The Minister held a meeting with the doctors at the hospital and enquired about the availability of staff and equipment. The doctors apprised the Minister of shortage of doctors at the hospital for which he assured that the steps would soon be taken to appoint the doctors.

‘It is very happy to note that this hospital serves thousands of tribal and non-tribal patients in and around Bhadrachalam and neighbouring Chhattisgarh State as well’, he said, adding, facilities like CT scan and dialysis facilities would be provided at the hospital.

Earlier, Rajender offered prayers at Sri Seeta Ramachandra Swamy Temple. Zilla Parishad chairman K Kanakaiah, District Library chairman D Rajender, ITDA PO VP Gautham, Sub-collector Bhavesh Misra and others accompanied the Minister.
