‘Bhima Pushkaralu’ to begin from Oct 11 in Mahabubnagar

Mahabubnagar: District Collector D Ronald Rose asked officials to ensure that all facilities are provided to devotees coming to attend ‘Bhima Pushkaralu’ to be held from October 11 to 23 in Krishna mandal of Mahabubnagar district.

He held a review meeting with district officials regarding the Bhima Pushkaralu, where he asked officials concerned to arrange changing rooms and toilets, and ensure cleanliness at bathing ghats.

In addition, he asked them to set up adequate parking spaces and surveillance for queues and temples located at bathing ghats in Kusumoorthy and Tangidigi villages.

In 2006, the last Bhima Pushakaralu was held in Mahabubnagar district. This year, on October 11 at 7.20 pm, Gurugraha will enter Vruschika Raasi, starting the pushkaralu.

Bhima River flows through Karnataka before entering Telangana at Sukralingampally village in Krishna mandal and then flows through Kusumoorthy and Kedahalli villages, before joining Krishna River at Tangidigi village.

Officials from Irrigation Department, Police, Panchayat Raj Department, Roads & Buildings Department and others participated in the meeting which was held at Collectorate
