Bright days for agriculture in Telangana, says Dy CM Kadiam Srihari

Warangal: Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari says bright days have arrived for agriculture in Telangana as TRS government is giving high priority to e agriculture sector while adding that even highly educated are evincing interest in taking up farming. Kadiam along with Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy participated in an interaction with farmers at Regional Agriculture Research Station (RARS) on the outskirts of the Warangal city. They also witnessed a demonstration of the paddy transplantation machine.

Speaking on the occasion, he said the State government is encouraging mechaniSation of farm sector and asked the Agros chairman to take steps for conducting exhibitions on the farm equipment in all the district headquarters of the erstwhile districts. “At the same time, there is a need for setting up service centres of the machines of the top companies in each district headquarters,” he sdded.

Minister for agriculture Pocharam Srinivas Reddy  alleged that the farmers had committed suicides due to the negligence of the agriculture sector by the previous governments. “In view of the scarcity of labourers for the farm activity, Chief Minister is promoting the mechanisation and use of the modern machines in the agriculture sector,” he added. TSAgros chairman Lingampally Kishan Rao , MLA Aruri Ramesh and others were present.
