In yet another spine chilling, but amusing feat by the Border Security Force (BSF) Janbaz team, two new records were set by daredevils Janbaz Constable Ravinder Minde and Janbaz Inspector Ashish Bhargava at the 25 Bn BSF Chhawla Camp in New Delhi on Monday.
Spectators who had come to witness the performances were if full capacity at the venue as the first record of the day was created by Constable Ravinder Minde when he rode a 350 CC Royal Enfield for 4 hours 17 minutes!
What is astonishing? He did it standing on the seat, facing backwards (facing the opposite direction of the motorcycle’s movement). What adds to the excitement is that the Constable covered a staggering distance of 106.1 kilometres while performing the act, though he only had to cover nothing more than 2 kilometres to create a record.
Now, that is going to be one tough record to break!
On the other hand, Constable Ravinder’s colleague Inspector Ashish Bhargava registered the second record of the day by riding a 350 CC Royal Enfield Bullet for 2 hours and 21 minutes, covering a whopping 80.5 kilometres by standing on the seat, facing front. Inspector Ashish performed the act to better the previous record of riding 2 hours and 24 minutes, covering a distance of 75.2 kilometres. The previous record, now shattered by him was by a recorded the Indian Army.
The BSF team and its members’ grit which helps them stand tall in difficult conditions on the International borders in difficult conditions has helped the two daredevils achieve such a difficult feat, which many could only imagine.
The Janbaaz team which came into existence in the year 1990 has since been participating in various events showcasing its skill in stunt-riding.
With many notable performances, including the ones during spectacular Republic Day Parades under their belt, the BSF Janbaz team is quite a force to reckon with. However the one that stood out was the performance in 2015, while the then US President Barack Obama was among the audience.
