Burglar nabbed by RGIA police

Hyderabad: The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport police arrested an inter-State burglar involved in half a dozen cases here on Thursday. Police recovered gold, silver and other material all put together worth Rs 5 lakh from the pocession of the culprit.

According to the police, Sai Dhanraj, 26, an electrician from Rajiv Gruhakalpa in Suraram village of Qutbullapur, was first arrested as a juvenile offender in Asifnagar in 2009. He was later arrested by the Jeedimetla police and Cheriyal police of Siddipet district and jailed. After being released from prison, Dhanraj failed to mend his ways and continued committing offences.

He was caught by the RGIA police during vehicle checking in Shamshabad on Thursday. “He failed to show any valid documents and when questioned further, he revealed his identity and confessed to his involvement in offences across the State,” police said. He was produced before court and remanded in judicial custody, said the police.
