Campaign against auto starters in Siddipet

Irrigation Minister Harish Rao launched a campaign under Siddipet Assembly Constituency to sensitise the people to utilise the power supply to best use.

Siddipet: People of Yelugupally, Irkode and Banjarupally village in Siddipet district vowed not to use the auto starters at their agriculture bore-wells following a call made by the Irrigation Minister, T Harish Rao.

In aim to spread message among the people on the importance of removing the auto starters of agriculture pump sets in the wake of State government’s decision to supply free 24-hour supply power to farm sector, the Irrigation Minister has launched a campaign under Siddipet Assembly Constituency to sensitise the people to utilise the power supply to best use. 

Addressing the farmers at Yelugupally village here on Sunday, the Minister has called upon the farmers to switch on their agriculture pump sets when they need to irrigate their field and switch-off immediately. He observed that they need to do to conserve the ground water and also electricity. The Minster personally visited a farm to remove the auto starter. He has asked the public representatives and officials to continue the campaign across the district until the last auto start was removed.
