Cash custodian in Hyderabad turns thief, held

Hyderabad: The Kushaiguda police on Wednesday arrested a cash custodian of CMS Company for allegedly stealing Rs 3.5 lakh from a Kotak Mahindra ATM at Kamala Nagar in ECIL.

T Vignesh (28), a resident of Nagaram, Keesara, and a native of Jangaon district, was employed at CMS Group for the last five years. He was in-charge of the Malkajgiri route.

On June 8, around 11.30 pm, he went to the Kotak Mahindra bank ATM at Kamala Nagar, ECIL main road, and opened it door with a key. He then opened the safe lock with a duplicate key and stole cash from the chest box. The bank was intimated by other cash custodians on June 11.

The officials verified surveillance cameras footage and found Vignesh stealing cash from the machine. He was caught from his house and the stolen cash was recovered intact.
