Warangal Rural: The 27th National Children’s Science Congress (NCSC)-2019 was launched in a grand manner at Daffodils High School in Narsampet  in the district on Thursday.

The science congress was organized by Telangana State Council of Science and Technology (TSCOST) in association with Department of School Education and SCERT, Telangana. The focal theme for this year’s edition is Science, Technology and Innovation for a Clean, Green and Healthy Nation.

The valedictory programme was commenced by P Rajeev, RJDSE, Warangal and District Educational Officer, Warangal Rural. In his address, he said that the main aim of NCSC was to nurture the critical thinking ability of the children and also to question the processes with the aim of step by step assimilation and extension of knowledge taking them to newer fields and higher areas of science. Earlier, The teachers were given orientation programme by Katanguri Ramgopal Reddy, District Coordinator, NCSC Warangal Rural.

Dr K Srinivas, District Science Officer, informed that nearly 100 projects were submitted form the different schools. From these, 5 projects were selected for State Level to be conducted at Khammam 14 to 16 of this month. He urged the students and teachers, who were selected for State Level, to strive hard to get selected at National level and bring name and fame to Warangal Rural District organizing committee members, teachers and students were present at the occasion.

Daffodils High School correspondent Chinthala Narender, Academic Coordinator G Kiran, Science Forum president D Anil Kumar and several child scientists, guide teachers participated in the programme.
