Chintamadaka, Erravelly erupt in joy

Villagers led by former MPTC Chetiyala Rajaiah offered 101 coconuts at goddesses Yellamma temple.

Siddipet: Chintamadaka village, the birthplace of Chief Minister Chandrashekar Rao, in Siddipet district erupted in celebration following the landslide victory of TRS.

Rao visited the village to exercise his franchise along with his wife Shoba Rani on December 7. Villagers led by former MPTC Chetiyala Rajaiah offered 101 coconuts at goddesses Yellamma temple at the village. Since the village falls under Siddipet Assembly constituency, from where Rao was elected six times from 1985 to 2004, the villagers took out a rally to Siddipet to participate in celebrations. Rajeshwari, a villager said they were all happy to see Rao as Chief Minister for a second consecutive term.

Meanwhile, Erravelly village, which the Chief Minister adopted in 2014 also erupted in celebrations as Rao was elected for the second consecutive time from Gajwel constituency. Rao had constructed over 500 double bedroom houses here for Erravelly villagers besides introducing a number of welfare schemes exclusively for Erravelly villagers.
